Cannot Dual Boot Only Have XP Cant Access Vista

i installed vista home basic 32 bit
i installed xp pro w/service pack 3 and net framework 2.0+
i installed vistabootpro 3.3

i followed these steps

then i got this error

how-to-fix-index-count-error-when-trying-to-run-diagnostics-t89711.html

i tried the solution listed there and it didnt work


someone please help me ........ hopefully tonight.......thx to all who respond

Make sure you have the bcedit.exe and the folder Boot and all its contents in the root directory of the XP drive as well as thes 3 files, NTDETECT, ntldr and boot.ini

You will have to get into folder options to change it so you can see the files and folder Boot,

more than likely the 3 files are there since you can get into XP.
