Hello shivac and welcome to PROnetworks!! Great to have you here; please stop by our Introduction Area so we can give you a proper welcome.

As to your issue; could you tell us a little more about what you have done to try and access your BCD registry. Did you use VBPro 2.1? In XP? In Vista? Which build? Also please give us some more details on your system setup. Enjoy the site!

I installed it in XP. I read a thread afterwards and found out that I need to install it in vista. So the problem is accutally solved :)

In XP you should still have no problem running VBP. Is this computer perhaps on a network? Domain? I have found out that even though you have Admin rights locally on the computer, sometimes it will still not run unless you right click and provide "Administrator" credentials on XP machines.

Did you install XP after you installed Vista? Also, does XP show up in your boot display list?

shivac,

That is the problem then. Vista is required in order to use VBP. If you don't have Vista installed then it can not access the BCD registry since there isn't one yet. We will take a look at this and see if we can come up with away to detect if the Registry string exists and then let the user know if Vista is installed. I know this can seem confusing.
