Can't boot to safe mode in XP via VistaBootPro

Postby brobinson on Wed Aug 06, 2008 6:26 pm

I have a dual boot system with XP and Vista. At the boot menu during startup, I don't get the option to press F8 for safe mode when XP is selected (I do get the option for Vista). How can I boot into safe mode in XP when using VistaBootPRO? Windows Update installed SP3 last night and now I can't get into XP (0x80004005 - can't accurately check license).

I had that same problem and then I added a 3rd partition and installed another copy of XP and now I have that option for both XP's. Wasn't intentional, but a nice side effect.
