Same here, 8" already and I had to drive home from Princeton in this mess. 2-4 more expected by morning, and of course I hacve to drive into Manhatten first thing then more tomorrow night and I have to drive into Manhatten Saturday as well. We still had 4 " on the ground from a few days ago but it still isnt like it was a few weeks ago when we got 2 feet overnight. Dad gummit! I am from the south, I am not used to this nasty cold white stuff. Its pretty to look at now and then and even play in a bit but I wish that when your done looking and playing it would just vanish and get warm again
I didnt get five miles out of Princeton before I saw a car in the ditch and many more along the way. I am packing so tow chains with me from now on and make so extra money pulling people out.
Charge them half the price of a wrecker and save them some embarrassment too. Then again I just couldnt charge them, the way my luck is I would be stcuk the next week and someone would come along and charge me
. But I am putting some chains in the back of the Jeep. These old wranglers can go about anywhere. I havent managed to get it stuck yet.
But thats a good thing so I dont have to plow my half mile driveway and it keeps people from coming to bug me
The last big snow didnt keep me from getting out but it did make it impossible for the pizza delivery man to get up here.
So I had to Plow it. I will wait until Sunday when I have a day off and its finished and break out the tractor again
