The economy continues to improve with GDP growth at over 4%. Thats not too shabby on a 12 TRILLION dollar economy.

Iraq is turning around. The Iraqi people with our military help will be better able to stop the suicide bombings as well as the terrorist strikes there.

What news are you watching?

We're still being picked off.

Growth... I'll wait and see on that. Interest rates still are horrible too. :x

I'm not sure I've ever seen loyalty like this. Hell, if I elect Kerry and he screws up... kick his a** out of office. I voted for Bush... I wish I hadn't... now I'm trying to replace him. That seems to be a crime to the "foottroops" of Bush.

Interest rates are the lowest in 50 years. So what are you talking about??

The Iraqi's are better suited to deal with the issue. Their land, people and country. We provide the military muscle to get the job done. I never said it would happen overnight, just that things were improving.

We have had consecutitive growth quarter after quarter. Not partial percentage points either. We have had 4, 8 4.5, etc % growth rates. That is nothing to sneaze at. The only economy growing faster than ours right now is China. It scares China to have 10% growth, they don't know how to manage it fast enough and are deeply concerned about a bust.

Hmm... there are no new jobs in my area either, or that of anyone I ask.

But I'll stay out of this, I don't know anything about economics.

i am sure not if any government would provide job for everybody, and no matter how good or bad economy is some peolpe will still be jobless.

however, it will be difficult to see how the economy and job is improving while more coporations have outsourced jobs to asia and south america this time around than before

Well nationwide there is still hiring going on. Even in the hardest hit areas like manufacturing. Not everything is being outsourced. Many things just don't make sense to. In addition to that many companies are coming back because they are learning the hard way that outsourcing is not the Utopia they were sold by their "consultant."

Lose of quality. Lose of control. Dissatisfied customers. Language barrier. Cost ends up being about the same. Companies that do outsource will pay the price though when their customers take their dollars elsewhere.

That isn't true look at FDR and Abe Lincoln. Neither had served in the Armed Forces but one ran the Civil War successfully, and the other ran the largest war in history and won. Plus Kerry became so anti-war as to make his military service a sham.

Fairedubranlage I have family in the Johnstown and Pittsburgh area. So I know how hard hit the economy is there. But who's fault is that anyway? The Kennedy - Johnstown administrations started letting Japan dumb steel in the US for below cost and that put all the mills out of work. Heck when I was a kid I use to spend part of my summers in Johnstown. Then there were over 200,000 Union Steel Workers, now there are 1,506 as of last month. So don't blame Bush for that or for NAFTA which has really destroyed our industrial base. Being in construction I am the first to know when the economy is going bad and the last to know of a recovery. Nation wide construction is booming and according to the engineers there is no slow down in sight.
