Ultimately this election will focus on these things:

Iraq
Economy
Homosexual Rights
Fight on Terrorism

Bush wins in the Fight on Terrorism (but he may be loosing this fight bc of the pit Iraq's become and the failure to capture Osama)
Bush has lost the fight on Iraq, but Kerry hasn't won it. Both are not favored to take over control of this situation, as both seem to have extreme ends for it.
Homosexual rights is Kerry's win. Bush is completely against it.
The Economy is by far in the hands of Kerry. He had nearly 60 percent of the nation favoring his approach versus Bush in some of the latest polls. While Bush has been rumored to be "fixing" the economy, many economists say it's all show and no real substance yet. It is likely Kerry will win this battle.

It's going to be close... I suspect the final results 46 to 48 or so with the other 6 percent to Nader/etc.

(Agreed also on the PROneowin merger... ;) Like that'll happen... LOL)

>>Ultimately this election will focus on these things:<<

Iraq >> the hand over has taken place and things are slowly starting to turn around especially with the foreign terroists said to be leaving and going home.

Economy>> continues to gain steam and show solid growth.

Homosexual Rights >> please its a non issue. Should be interesting to see how Edwards and Kerry both vote in the Senate on the Constitutional ammendment proposal. If they don't vote against it then i think it would *beep* off a large part of their liberal base. However this sort of thing does not resonate in the South or the Mid West.

Fight on Terrorism>> Bush has done a good job on this front as well as more plans are found out and thwarted. Terrorists are scrambling to regroup on a global scale after being forced further underground.

Iraq turning around? WHAT? How many people died this last week alone?

Economy and growth... go read the Wall Street Journal and we'll talk. The economy is not improving.

Terrorism being fixed huh? Oooh that must be why they are trying to postpone the election date now. Fixed or improved my a**. It's worse; and most people agree.

the economy is improving, although very slowly.

terrorism hasn't changed, we have more people wanting to kill us now then we did before we went to iraq or the other middle eastern countries, in fact, i think things have gotten worse.

Exactly right on terrorism. We've got a lot more enemies now. It might take a while to see that, but it's going to be a growing concern.

As for the economy... I've yet to see it improve here locally. Some people judge gas prices as the economy, LOL. Lately the slight dip in that has been all I've seen, but it's likely to go back up again analysts say.

We haven't had another 9/11.

The economy continues to improve with GDP growth at over 4%. Thats not too shabby on a 12 TRILLION dollar economy.

Iraq is turning around. The Iraqi people with our military help will be better able to stop the suicide bombings as well as the terrorist strikes there.

The price of gas is not a reflection of how the economy is doing. Also just because there aren't a lot of new jobs in your area does not mean that is what is going on in the rest of the country.

You take a local issue and try to generalize it to a national epidemic? Um, ok...

But most of that debt is money we owe ourselves. It really isn't too much of a problem when we can write off a huge chunk of it.
