Building a gig for rendering Autodesk Maya Renders or XSI..

Postby DEVILSAN on Tue Aug 09, 2011 5:45 pm

I am building a gig to render out files of maya software at super :cheerswine: fast speed and that can run 24/7 , so i definately be looking for server board, so i was looking for Asus Z8NA-D6C or SABERTOOTH 990FX(which is only single processor) which works with AMD 8-core Zambezi 3.6GHz FX(coming soon i guess).. would that peice put together can handle massive :slackjaw: shot light up with mental Ray rendering... ? however I understand RAM would also need to be considered liek around 32GB but i am not sure coz if its just for rendering i still dont know should i kick this to 32GB or keep it little low ? any hardware geek help would be usefull.. please shoot ur inputs guys.. :hangloose
