ASMS error during installation

Postby talha » Sat Feb 16, 2002 2:01 pm

When installing XP Pro I get an error "The file 'asms' on Windows XP Professional CD-ROM is needed. I have inserted multiple copies of the CD and cannot get one of them to be accepted. I read some documentation online that indicated that the CD I am using is corrupt, I dont think this is the case since I am inserting multiple CD's and continue to get the error. I even created a CD with just I386 on it and it didnt work. HELP...

Take it back to where you bought it from or call Microsoft about it. I'm sure they can help you out.
