eg. [Shell]
CustomDefaultThemeFile = "%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\MyTheme.theme"

Correct you would create $OEM$\$$\Resources\Themes

But al lyour files in there and add that line to the winnt.sif

I have only dabbled with custom sounds.. .there must be a way to set a new default sound scheme, but so far All I did was find custom sounds and rename them to the windows defaults sounds.

HOWEVER

If you want to use the custom themes you need to use the hacked uxtheme.dll repack it with makecab and run modifype on it to make it "valid" then overwrite the exsisting uxtheme.dl_ in the i386 folder

I also did this with tcpip.sys and at one point hacked the msgina.dll and the other one whose name escapes me

lol, well i kinda thought for a bit when making this XP Disk. so the very 1st thing i used was nLite, changed everything i wanted, even the login screen changed it to the old windows 2000 "requiring you to use Ctrl+Alt+Delete" on default already patched the uxtheme already got loads of custom themes, basically removed everything that i didnt need it was jus adding the apps to the disk which stumped me but i i did and works great but really at the end of it all i see no real benefit. WHY?, because after windows has installed it logs in but no taskbar comes up, i jus get me .cmd file saying installing "blah" then i get all the progress bar come up n i have to install it like i would normal after windows has installed, all my software requires my settings to be put in. unless someone can help me create all the .reg files so i dont have to write in everything. plus with msn messenger i still have to configure it.... jus seems a waste really but thats my point. WEll if you used the switches that we wnet over before you would not need to do that.

Also for confuring the software, if you cant find out how to do that you can always contact the maker of the software they can be very helpful.

If you just want to give up and demand the answers to the problems... well TBH, thats just not going to happen. Most of the information is already out there. If its too much trouble then you would probably be better off installing and configuring everything just perfect and then imaging your partition so that you can do a instant restore later.
