"Kung Fu" and "Kill Bill" actor David Carradine was found dead Thursday in a Bangkok hotel room, his manager told FOX News.

According to police, the 72-year-old actor appeared to have hanged himself.

The officer responsible for investigating the death, Teerapop Luanseng, said Carradine was staying at a suite at the luxury Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel.

"I can confirm that we found his body, naked, hanging in the closet," Teerapop said. He said police suspected suicide.

Chuck Binder, Carradine's manager, said the actor was staying in the Thai capital while shooting a movie called "Stretch." When a producer went to his luxury hotel room, he learned that the actor was dead, Binder said, adding that the cause of death is still "under investigation."

Yeah, if you were going to kill yourself, why do it naked; if you want to choose the terms of your death, why not do it with clothes on?

Hung naked doesn't sound good. There have been accidents of people hanging themselves while doing something else. I won't go into it any further because it may not be appropriate for this forum.

I was about to reply to Will that in many cases where the victim is found in this fashion and it is ruled "a suicide" it is actually not the case but is, in fact, autoerotic asphyxiation. This can be looked up by anyone interested in more information.

I think it is important to mention that here, especially in light of Will's comment.

But, you're correct, any more detail should probably be left off the forums.

I liked him a lot...he was a great actor.

The first report I saw indicated he was strangled. My first thoughts were there was sleaze involved. Whatever...it doesn't detract from the tragedy.
