Green Day's 'GMA' Shocker

Yesterday, Green Day made headlines by bashing mega-retailer Wal-Mart for not selling their new album, '21st Century Breakdown' after the band refused to edit it to meet their so-called 'family friendly' standards. Today, they're making headlines after ABC forgot to bleep expletives from their 'Good Morning America' performance. Oops.
Yeah, someone at ABC fell asleep at the switch, allowing the 'S' word and the 'F' bomb to sneak past censors during their breakthrough classic, 'Longview,' as the teeming crowd sang along in Central Park.
Just a month ago, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong complained that 'American Idol' producers forced them to play their cover of John Lennon's 'Working Class Hero' to an empty room for fear that they might blurt a 'F' bomb on live tv. Armstrong told Spinner.com, "We almost got thrown off the show before it even started because they didn't trust us," he said. "It's like, 'Man, we've done this so many times. We can do this.' And finally they're like, 'OK, you guys have to record it before.' So we played to a completely empty room."
Maybe ABC's people should've talked to the folks over at 'Idol.'

Whatever happened to the 7sec. delay? Perhaps that wouldn't have worked either as the fans could have just continued.
I wonder what the FCC will do here? Anyways, apparently they can't be trusted so why would they change for ABC/Disney. Those producers were asleep at the switch.
