Just for comparison. Last year in January we had a storm that dumped 203cm of snow.

On average, Syracuse receives the most snow of any metropolitan area in the country.

6 months out of the year we get snow.

I am sick of it.

I take it you mean Thessaloniki , because it didn't snow in Peiraius which is the largest harbour here ( Thesalloniki has the third largest but second more important )

It snowed in Northern Hellas and it still is in the city that are build in high elevation ( mountains ). It did snow throughout the whole country , which consist mainly of mountains and seashores , on January and the first days of February.

It also snowed on the mountains that surround Athens but not in the city.

I'm not really unconnected from civilisation...but 35 cm is quite much for Holland :yesnod:

LOL Mike. I remember seeing the shots of your house last year when you had to dig yourself out. We can get a lot of snow, but nothing like this. :yesnod:
