2 problems whit a mambo installation

Postby Hugo van Dijk » Tue Aug 31, 2004 11:13 am

i have 2 problems whit a mambo installation --Stable Version 4.5 (1.0.9)

problem1= it says there is a configuration.php
(but it wasn,t in the package i downloaded -
(i downloaded from mambo, and downloaded it 2 times to check.)

there is a configuration.php-dist -- but changing that to configuration.php -doesn,t work (so i don,t think the mean configuration.php whit that)

problem2= installation page 2 doesn,t want to load.
(and i gave the right database information.)

Let me guess... fantastico. I love that program, makes it just so much easier :yesnod:

Just out of curiosity, what web host are you using?

Can't say I have heard of them before. But I did have a quick look and I have not seen that control panel before. Any idea what control panel it is?

cPanel has to be one of the most popular control panels for *nix based hosting machines. By the looks of it xcontroller is based on the cPanel system due to the fact that all the images are the same (and seeing the images themselves are copyrighted) and you being directed to a cPanel page if you type the wrong password in.

I believe than it is apart of cpanelthemes.com now known as netenberg. if you go to their website you'll see xcontroller, Fantastico, Coolbreaze & Co and Status365 (which I believe is still being developed).
