Comcast is about to drive me crazy and if I wasn't already bald I would pull my hair out.

They were originally suppose to be here, on the 1st between 8 and 11 to install cable and internet. When they didn't show up I called them to see what had happened and they told me it was scheduled for the 10th, but since I had been told the 1st they would get here the 8th between 8 and 10 AM and credit me $25 dollars.

I just called them to verify the appt and now they tell me it was setup for today between 1 and 4 PM aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh

I have been using my phone for a modem and connecting via AT&T 3G. It is actually a pretty good connection 230 Kbps or so for a phone LOL

We have had Comcast for a while, first in 2000 I think it was AT&T Broadband and then they were bought out in like 2001 and we have had it all that time. Other than dealing with the CSR's and scheduled appt the service has been alright. I always call and get credit for outages.

They know that where we are now they are pretty much the only game in town, since AT&T isn't wired here yet for TV. I could get the AT&T internet but not their TV, so we are stuck with Comcast, since I haven't heard anything good about W.O.W. cable.

When I bought my house three and a half years ago, the cable provider was Insight. They were the best ISP I have ever had. No trouble, great customer service, extremely good up times, and at $45 a month for 10Mbps down and 1Mbps up I was very happy.

In November of 2007 I received a mailer stating that Comcast had bought out Insight in my area and would be taking over starting January 2008. The mailer said "you won't notice a difference", referring to the changeover being so seamless.

As January rolled around, the best Internet connection I ever had turned into the worst Internet connection. Within the first three weeks, the Internet was down more than 72 hours and when it was up the connection was horrible. There was a three day period where 1 out of 4 packets were dropped. My speeds measured at 128k during this time. Comcast was so horrible that for the first time in 3 years our cable television service dropped for almost 24 hours.

Luckily, AT&T was building up UVerse in our area and was desperately looking for subscribers to use the network they were heavily investing in. I signed up for UVerse in February and had it installed on February 12th. I couldn't be happier with the service I am receiving, especially for the price.

Shortly after we dropped Comcast, my friends started complaining about their horrible service and customer service while Comcast was increasing their bills by $10 a month. I feel sorry for any one that has to use Comcast service and I hope I never get stuck with their service again.

I was just about to sign up for Uverse until we decided the house was just to much for just the two of us, (4 bdrm, family room, media room, office, right at 3000 Sq Ft) so we got a two bedroom apartment.

Now our choice for cable etc is Comcast or W.O.W. which I haven't heard anything good about, so we are stuck with Comcast for the time being. I told AT&T to be sure to contact me when they are setup here.

I feel for anyone who has to be stuck with comcast. they are HORRIBLE and their customer service people barely speak or understand english and they can't seem to remember appointments to setup my service.
oh and BTW comcast doesn't have more HD channels than satellite.
I think they are becoming somewhat of a monopoly in some areas like mine because Qwest hasn't brought their faster DSL service here yet and theres no other options so I'm basically stuck with comcast internet until something changes.
1.5mbps is not acceptable when you have 2 computers,2 game consoles, tv box and a DS connecting to your net.
I love my satellite tv though.
don't believe that crap they say about your signal going out in crappy weather, i live in minnesota and mine has gone out maybe 2 times due to a blizzard and a severe storm moved the dish on the roof.
anyone want to protest comcast?

Comcast is not the best service provider anymore. I remember when I first got it 5 years ago that it was good for me since it wasn't dial-up. Now that I've had it a while it isn't good anymore.

Not to mention that FiOS is in the area now, so instead of getting 4Mbps/384Kbps we can get 20Mbps/5mbps for the same price. omg

I've never had to deal with Comcast and I hope I never do. I never hear anything good about Comcast. I've had Cox Cable for 8 years and they have been great.
