Yep, all of a sudden, a slip with the mouse, and my waste basket was gone from the desktop. How can i get it back? Vista Ultimate x86 sp1 with all the latest updates.

sorry this is for XP
try right clicking the desktop
select properties
click the customize button
click restore default
restart windows

for Vista
right clicking the desktop
select personalize
change desktop icons
Desktop icons settings check recycle bin click OK
