The Montgomery County coroner's office says 20-year-old Aaron Miller of Bellbrook died this weekend from injuries he received when he tumbled nearly six feet from his elevated bed in the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity house at the school in Oxford. This story hits a nerve, so to speak. I was 13 when I went to a boarding high school in Kennebunkport, Maine and was used to a double bed at home and usually tossed and turned all night all over the place. So, I got the top bunk and promptly fell out after falling asleep my first night trying to turn over, and boy did I ever turn over!

I was OK, nobody even noticed out of the 40 students in the dorm at the time but I still remember it as if it was yesterday. To this day, whichever position that I fall asleep in, that's the way I wake up, in the exact same position either if I wake up for the day or just to turn around in bed. Obviously, this has been burnt into my psyche and has lasted for over 40 years. I think there should be barriers in upper bunks like they have in hospital beds. OK, I joked abit here but obviously, this is serious stuff.

my brother an i use to have bunk beds but our top bunk had a rail thing blocking you from falling off. after this incident they may want to look into that cause that is just sad.
