Spain reached the European Championship final for the first time in 24 years

It was an amazing game. Spain was also amazing in the 2nd half. The Russians after the first goal collapsed and they saw it coming.

Interesting that Spain , in the same tournament , played against Russia twice and the total score is 7-1.

I think it's been a pretty good tournament, all told. There's been a few shocks, such as France and Hellas going out early, a few surprises (Russia's performance against the Netherlands and Turkey coming back to beat Croatia) and some sublime football!

I'm looking forward to the Final. With Spain's flair and Germany's stoic determination it should make for enthralling viewing!

The surprise with our national team was the poor performance comparing to the qualification rounds when we ended up first almost ten points away from the 2nd. Then we tried to play as we did on 2004 but this type of game is not acceptable even for a 2nd time miracle but only for the first time and we never managed to understand how others were playing. We were poor.

France was a huge surprise for me as well. Another surprise was Holland being kicked out after three great games and Russia's excellent performance for three games.


Turkey was the absolute spirit of the game. They never let it go until the referee blew the final whistle. Even against Germany they played a great game and of course they played exceptionally both against Croatia and the Czech Republic.

I'm also looking forward to the final. I believe Spain's momentum against Germany's solid thinking will make one of the best finals.
