OK, I currently have Logitech Z5300's THX certified speakers, but they're blowing up on me. It's a 3.1 system ATM instead of 5.1 Here's my wish list and please tear this apart.smile BTW, music is job#1, then movies and I don't game.

Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster X-FI Xtreme Audio 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 PCI-E X1 OEM

Speakers: Klipsch Promedia 2.1 THX Computer Speaker System 160W RMS

I can go up to $100 on the card. Thanks all.smile

I think the X-FI's are more of a gamers card. I much prefer the Auzentech's but thats IMHO.

I would go with the Auzentech X-Plosion. See the reviews at:

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=17753&vpn=BGI%2DHDAXP%2DD&manufacture=AuzenTech

Then pricematch on NCIX to this other Canadian site which is almost $30 less:

BTW, those speakers look amazing. I'd really like to buy those someday.

EDIT: Use shopbot.ca when buying anything tech-related. I just found your speakers for $179 elsewhere. I'd price match those as well.

Thanks Reid, I only posted from ncix was to make it easy on myself.wink Thanks for the price tips too. I always balance the S&H charges too along with taxes.

I've never heard of Auzentech but I will sure look into it.smile Thanks.

i like the xfi, tho you would probably rather get the xtreme music, rather then just the reg. xtreme audio.. ive used the auzentech xplosion as well, and its a great looking card, it really isnt that good, especially for the price.. at least myself, i was dissapointed in it. it sounded kind of tinny, it made my music sound rather unpleasent.. but it was ok for movies.
