Great shot, i dig the one of the Crew thumbsup

It appears that Daisy & Clover are camera shy, not sure if Lucky is or what he's doing, nice cage too.

Are their wings clipped or are they allowed to fly around, inside question

They are all clipped for safety sake, but Baby can still fly around the room even without her wing feathers. Most of the others can still glide pretty well. And Clover can jump like no other bird I've ever seen.

They were all preening when I took the shot... hence why they aren't all looking at me wink Lucky was just stretching.

Well it's not like we need another FID (Feathered Kid) but we've been thinking for a few months about getting Kiwi a partner. I've long wanted a Cockatoo, but the dust and needs of that species has deterred us. They have a lot of emotional issues I don't need since I work so much. One reason we have so many Cockatiels is so they have interaction with one another and don't just depend on us.

So we settled on the female Eclectus that we can keep with Kiwi. The coloration is so different it's going to be like having a second species anyway. About 3 weeks ago we received news from our new breeder in California that babies had hatched and we'd have to wait to see what sex they were when they grew their first feathers in 3-4 weeks. Today we finally found out one's a girl. So sometime in late May or early June we could have our second Ekkie.

We haven't decided what to call her. Ruby or Juliet.

Here's what she'll look like:

Man, what a collection you guys will have! omg smile Ya, many animals need interaction or else they will self destruct, or in my case destroy the furniture as in the dober I had.

It was just too bored sitting around while I worked. A friend recommended getting another dober to keep it company, but Daisy died before I could do that.

Here's our first picture. Man these guys are uuuugly at this age. I think we finally decide on Leila as a name for her smilenod

Kiwi would have looked like the one in the back. Leila is the one with the black arrow.

Hello everyone!
Here's the first official Baby Picture. I've forwarded her email, so you can see the picture full sized. She's extra pooped, because she has rosebreasted cockatoos on an every two hour feeding and these little ones are on a different schedule, so it's a lot like having quadruplets! Someone is always hungry or wet.
Later on, after she has rested, she will send on the next set of pictures and we will be able to see your little ones a little more up close, but I know you four are all excited and want to see your babies.

Looking forward to hearing what you think about the little ones...hard to believe these little grey chickens will grow up to be our beautiful eclectus:)

I took more of two at a time too, but I am going to lay down and have a short nap. I am so tired. RS girl on left, RS boy in back, SI girl in middle and SI boy bottom right. Last little SI has no colour yet that I can see but I can sort of see a green sheen to his pins....I think!! XOXOOXOOX

Thanks Jo. I didn't either honestly... in fact I had no idea any bird could have no dander either. Makes me wonder why more of these guys are not on the market, especially since they only sell for about $800-$1000 on average. Not bad for a larger parrot. I think a Cockatoo would cost us $1200 min if it was hand-fed, and that's the only way I'd buy.

Our neighbor in recommending a lady in the upstate who also breeds these exclusively. So if we purchase one, we'll likely do so from her.

I kind of hate I'll never have a Cockatoo (at least in the foreseeable future), but with our schedules, it's for the best we don't purchase a bird we can't given adequate time too.

You may have to wait a bit for a response as he and his wife just left this morning on vacation for a couple weeks, but he may check in if he gets time.
