Thanks folks
Yesterday morning I took the little tyke to the Vet for his second round of shots and deworming. I was kinda preasured into naming him for his medical records so decided on BoZee. I had a boxer b*tch before and named her ZeeZee (cause they snore and Zee Zee Top is/was a great band). This ones a boy see, so he's BoZee
Over the weekend I got a whole roast chicken down him, mixed variously with rice, potatoe and bread and it's amazing how even 3 days of good feeding has made him fill out a bit. He's real playful and full of himself. He barks with a nice little voice and stands up to the other adult dogs who come to visit at least once a day. At the Vets rooms there was another adult Boxer there...a beautiful large dog and when I petted it, this little one growled aggressively...quite possesive already
The other night I was sharp with him when he widdled on the kitchen floor even though the door was open. I rubbed his nose in it and put him outside. He was quite put out and scared by the harshness and I felt terrible...BUT he hasn't pooped or widdled inside since Not that the nose being rubbed in it works, but it's the signal of disapproval that does it I think. These little things do their best to win ones favor and respond amazingly to approval and disapproval.
Here's some pics...can't get him to hold a pose for me He's really tiny but I believe that between 2 months and 4 months they grow amazingly fast

I really don't know why people wire their boxer's ears, they look much better natural like that. It's so funny seeing them trying to wag their tails!

What do you mean Augie, wire their ears?
And why do they cut the tails?

See this ones ears jojo.
I don't know about "wiring" although I can see how that is done to kill of the bit that is not wanted. Here I believe they are clipped and cauterized. It's done so the ears are not in the way during a fight and doesn't provide a grip place for another dog to bite and also, in the case of a working dog, so that the ears don't snag and tear in thorn bushes and fences and whatever. I think it looks quite nice, but believe it's illegal in many places already. They also do that to the ears of Dobbermans and some other aggressive breeds.
I think the reason the tails are cut is they are just too long in proportion to the bodies. Maybe a snagging thing or a bite place or a place to hold the dog too. A dog is a faster and more agile runner with it's tail as it gives them balance at speed.

Thanks Graham, thats very interesting. Learn something new each day.
The ears do look nicer in that pic, or maybe thats how I've always seen the boxers and thought it was natural.
Feel sorry for the dogs to go thru all that tho.
Lucky dog, to have you as a owner Graham. Good company for you eh.

Little BoZee is growing real good and lots of fun. He's got real attitude which is great...my shredded wrists bear testimony to that
I've had a few issues with him, like a ringworm he had on his one toe when I got him, and his left front foot doesn't seem quite like the right front one but I'm assured it's just while he's growing up. Also, where his tail was cut gets abrasive now and then and itches like heck. Anyway, the vet seems to think it will all come right as he grows up.
He's put on a lot of weight and grown quite a bit in three weeks. I'm still feeding him probably more than I should, but it's shown results and he's not as skinny anymore.
This morning I got him a collar and a leash so I can start on obedience training. Took some time for him to get used to not being able to go where he wants when he wants, but he's a quick learner and has stopped resisting some already. I made a big game of it so at least he wasn't nervous of it. I'm sure in a few days he'll get used to it. Fortunately I have some idea of what commands to teach him. He sit's real good already but has some difficulty staying of course, especially if I go too far at this stage. I'm mindful not to confuse him with too much training at this stage. The more advanced stuff will have to wait. He's still just a little baby doggy really but he's developing confidence and finding his voice in the process...quite a nice bark
Here's some pics I took this afternoon
