Last weekend (here in the US) we had a three day weekend (holiday) and I was lucky enough to have the time and resources to make a trip down to south Texas for some mountain biking (it was still quite cold down there, kind of unseasonable or least it was they're three coldest days of the year)
Well I wanted to share my trip (at least an abbreviated version of it) with you guys.

Here is the Entrance to Boomers (they dont want you to feel over dressed now)

There is also a real 'earthy' bar and grill, on the ranch but they were closed for re-modeling (removing all the tumble weeds and ground hogs, I guess)

At the trail head, I decided I was so hungry, that a glove was better than nothing...

So we headed off down the trail and were greeted by a interesting fellow hanging around in the trees

There were some very nice rest stations along the trail (it was a tad cold to actually enjoy the 'rest' but the areas were still quite inviting..)

Somewhere around the top of the ranch we hit the 'big turn around spot..'

There was very cool art work everywhere, and I regret that I didnt get more photos of the interesting stuff...

We also did some 'road' riding, but that lacks any points of 'real' interest.. unless you have a liking for 'Texas' license plates and sea shell drive ways... (that and I was too busy dodging cars to really take note of much of the scenery.)
