What is the best "flavor" of Linux besides Ubuntu?

Just wanting opinions. I was kinda looking at Gentoo.

Try Arch Devil Seriously, huge learning curve but highly configurable and once you get this going, you'll be THE *nix geek on the block.

I personally like PCLinuxOS (2007), Suse and FedoraCore 7. I think the most important thing here is to find out exactly what you expect from your Linux machine (learning, server use etc).

I haven't messed with linux in a while. The last time I did Fedora Core 5 had just come out......
I didn't like gentoo all that much. I know a lot of people do, it's all a matter of what YOU want. I'd definately have to vote for Fedora though. Easiest thing I've used as far as linux is concerned.
