I would like to set up a home network with two PCs (XP Pro and Vista) and a Mac, or may be Linux in one of the PC or Mac for dual booting. Is there any fuss or difficulties for this? Or what particular issues I have to look at when choosing network gears? Any good websites for info like this? Thanks a lot!!

Get a router and hook them all up. Go through your network setup on XP and Vista and they should have no problems seeing each other. The Mac will see the Windows but Windows will not see the Mac.
