I am having trouble playing bf2 on windows vista

I installed bf2 on my pc that I just got and it has vista. I had no problems installing it, but when I went to run it, I clicked play, it came up with that big battlefield 2 picture, and then went black and crashed. Could someone help?

Hang in there robamobabob, till one of the gamers gets to your problem. Have you looked for a Vista update for BF2?

Are you using Vista 32 or 64? Did you install directly from the retail CD? Have you applied any no-cd cracks? Are your video drivers up to date? Have you installed the latest patch?

I did download it straight off of the disk, but I don't know what you are talking about as far as the other things and 32/64...help.

He needs to know what version of Vista are you running and whether it is the 32 bit edition or 64 bit edition?
