Guys i have a system at work running xp pro, explorer.exe uses 100% of the cpu all the time... also it freezes when the 3dtext screensaver come on..... the only process that caught my eye was ismpack6.exe, i dont know what it is or what it does... do you???

Is the system up to date with SP2 for instance.

you might try to download Ad-Aware from Lavasoft http://dw.com.com/redir?edId=3&siteId=4&oId=3000-8022_4-10045910&ontId=8022&spi=1cfcc3cb4bce42e846769862f88f2a75&lop=link&ltype=dl_dlnow&pid=10747652&mfgId=69274&merId=69274&destUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.download.com%2F3001-8022_4-10747652.html%3Fspi%3D1cfcc3cb4bce42e846769862f88f2a75%26part%3Ddl-ad-aware and run it in safemode to see if you can get rid of what appears to be a hijack program.
Also run your anti virus program while in safemode.
