On engadet they were showing fliers from ToysRUs and Walmart advertising the Xbox 360 premium for $349... it's a necessary move from Microsoft I think because they are losing ground quickly to the Wii.

With my experience with Dell, I got a price match from them since they dropped $50 off of an Axim X51 I bought. You might be able to do that. I'd want to check it out and see.

Glad to see a price drop, but I wish they'd drop the price on some of the games. I had thought paying $49.99 for games was a lot, but now it's $59.99...some games (like Gears of War for example), have been out for a while but not seen any type of price drop at many places (because its selling so well at the existing price anyway)

I think they will drop the price as we near closer to the release of Halo 3. I still haven't decided if I will upgrade to the 360. To be honest, I'm perfectly content with my Xbox but more and more games are becoming exclusive 360. If I want to keep up with the games (like Halo 3) I guess I will probably have to.....

Chances are good that if you're willing to pay a lot for a console, then you'd also be willing to pay a premium for next gen console games.
That's the idea anyway, PC games that are also avaliable on the 360 cost about $10 less.
You know what though? Just wait it out a year or two and it's guaranteed to price drop... though, I might exclude Halo 3 from that.

At least Gamestop/EBGames are now making a whole lot of money from used console games now... they've been selling games like Lunmines for $39.99 used and Advance Wars DS for $29.99...
