That is a good idea. I really want to keep the Logo above the content area, though. (Sorry I am so picky)
Maybe I could integrate some photo in the background of the header and make it look like it was faded in, or something...

The flower seems to bright for me, what if you made it just a little more transparent? It just seems to dominate the whole thing with its stark colors.
If you get me your .psd, I'll see what I can do.
