Congrats on the family addition you guys thumbsup I'll birdsit anytime you want. Love the name choice. The hard sound of K is excellent for name training.

JoAnn, I meant to ask you... have you ever seen one of the Lesser Sulfur Cockatoo's up close? Oh they are just adorable. I had never seen one in person until yesterday. We have a local bird shop (which I love now that I've found it) called Parrotphernalia and she had one there. Looks identical to the larger, but is about half the size.

Personally I still think the Umbrella Cockatoo is the sweetest of the bunch.

Yes I knew a Lesser a few years back, very sweet bird. Her name was Tika. Why get a big pooper when a little pooper is just as nice as a big one, lol.
I love the Umbrella also, the display is awesome.

funny how you got me posting in this thread but not the Vista ones.

Wow by looking at his original photo I'd have never guessed how beautiful he is. The camera cannot capture the shiny quality of his feathers... he is literally Electric Green. It's incredible.

Here's the best photos I could get tonight. Click to enlarge.

That's a stunning bird John. That royal blue is amazing. Will it hold all those colors as it grows up?

Thanks guys. And yes he'll continue to be this colorful his whole life. In fact, he should become even more colorful after his first molt as he moves into adulthood. The Red-Sided Subspecies is the most colorful of the Eclectus. I wish you could see under his wings... it's just incredible how colorful he really is.

He's been a noisy bird this morning, probably calling out to what used to be his old friends who are now missing. He's eating well though and he's been quite sociable with us.
