As we reported a couple of days ago, PROnetworks attended an
exclusive private dinner with Microsoft's Mike Nash and Bill Laing. They also happened to deliver this morning's keynotes.
Mike Nash, Corporate Vice President, Windows Product Management, opened the day by taking a close look at the impact that Windows Vista is making on personal computing and highlighting the many ways in which the PC industry is finding innovative solutions and new business opportunities based on the new Windows platform.
Bill Laing, General Manager, Windows Server Division, discussed new technologies and initiatives for Windows Server, including enterprise storage, enterprise networking, server roles, and server features such as high-availability. These advances deliver on Microsoft's promise to continue reducing complexity and open up even more opportunities for modern server designs to meet the widest range of customer needs in the enterprise, mid-sized and small business, government organizations, and even in the home.
