WinHEC 2007 officially got underway this morning with the traditional opening keynote by Microsoft founder and Chief Software Architect Bill Gates.

Gates' presentation can be seen live online HERE. The main news was the official announcement that Windows Longhorn Server will be called Windows Server 2008 (which we actually posted last weekend). Beta 3 was handed out to the attendees here.
