WinHEC 2007 is almost upon us. WinHEC 2007 takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California next week (May 15–17). WinHEC is designed for hardware engineers, designers, driver developers and business decision-makers and will be a great opportunity to participate in discussions related to critical technology issues and the future direction of the Windows(R) hardware platform. As in previous years, Bill Gates, Microsoft chairman and chief software architect, will deliver the opening keynote.
The following topics will be covered in-depth at WinHEC:
System Fundamentals: Core Platform Architecture, Security, and Windows Virtualization
Windows Server Technologies
Windows Client Systems and Technologies
Windows Networking and Storage
Portable and Networked Devices: Effortless Connectivity and New Scenarios
Driver Fundamentals: Core Driver Models and Tools
To round out the deep technical offerings, WinHEC also features panel discussions, chalk-talks and hands-on-labs for practical development experience and networking opportunities that adddress technical challenges. This is a chance for hardware developers to have close collaboration on implementation details and best practices for Windows Vista and Windows Server Longhorn.
PROnetworks will have extensive coverage of WinHEC 2007. Because of our esteemed position as one of only 30 Windows Vista Featured Communities, I have been invited to special events as a guest of Microsoft and will be attending as a representative of PROnetworks.
