yeah........... I guess I'm sorta the same; that's why my wife looks at me funny when I'm taking pictures........ whistle lol

With this camera, it's really a little easier to use to the LCD. Kinda like when it's in auto-focus mode, and you hold the shutter button down halfway. It kinda shows you with a little box what part of the picture it's trying to focus on. Helps alot if you are taking a picture of your kid in a park, and it focuses on someone else's kid and leaves yours a little blurry. lol Also, when you need to take a little control away from the auto settings, the screen is absolutely necessary. That stuff, along with any amounts of digital zoom are not displayed in the viewfinder.

Plus, the viewfinder can lead you astray for waaaaay uplclose macro shots. The tighter your camera can get, the worse off the viewfinder will leave you in a shot like that. This one can focus to about a cm away from the lens..... at that range you can't even see what you're shooting through the viewfinder.

But I do agree somewhat that it is important to have.

Hehe same. No wife though... lol. LCD is just a waste of battery in my opinion. They are nice for viewing images though.

AND Yes the 1cm argument aforementioned.
