Any suggestions ? I recevied error message about XPExplorerBar_nat.dll is not in the system32 directory. I copied it to the folder manually and still received the same message.

Welcome to PROnetworks. One quick question, which version are you using. We did have a problem with version 3.0 causing this problem, so if you are not using version 3.1 then please go to http://www.vistabootpro.org and download it. If you are, can you please take a screenshot of the error so we can see it.

Just installed 3.1 and cannot open due to "XPExplorerBar_nat.dll" error. Hate to be such a dummy, but I don't know how to post a screen shot!

Hi MiKeyes and welcome to PROnetworks.

To post a screenshot press the Prt Scr button on your keyboard when the application shows that error and then open Paint at Start>Programs>Accessories and go the Edit menu and Paste, then save the screenshot as a JPG or PNG file.

Next go to http://imageshack.us/ and upload it using using the upload function and then browse to the saved file and select it.

From there go to one of the Thumbnail code boxes and copy the entire contents of the thumbnail box (right click>copy) and paste the code in your post here

Thanks for the screenshot MiKeyes, I will try to repro this. What build of Vista are you running? and by any chance do you have DEP enabled?

Running Vista RC1 (build 5600). I don't think DEP is enabled, but can't check right now because I'm in XP.

Just for fun, I installed VBP 3.1 in XP Pro SP2 (same machine). Got the same error. Added VBP 3.1 to the DEP exceptions list - worked fine. Went back to Vista and found that I had enabled DEP there, so again added VBP to the exceptions list. Now it runs fine in Vista also.

Have the same problem and got the same error when trying to us VistaBoothPro 3.1 on Vista Final. Message is "XPExplorerBar_nat.dll is not in the system32 directory". Have WinXP Sp2 on another partition E: and can only run Vista installed on C:. Have to formate C: (vista partition) to get into XP.
Got it installed after turning off DPE, but get error
file: \ntldr
Status: 0x000000f
when trying to select Win XP from boot menu.
Any ide how to edit?
Or can you help to tell me exsact what to write in bcdedit to do it manuelly?

I am also getting the "XPExplorerBar_nat.dll" error.

I am running Vista RC1 (build 5600) which was an upgrade installation from XP Pro SP2 and VistaBoot PRO ver 3.1. I don't have DEP enabled and neither is UAC. In case it makes any difference, I have also elevated all programs on the root drive to administrator rights and taken ownership of them as I don't need to or want to have Vista tell me what I can and can't run on this machine.

The program installed fine and ran once O.K. until I edited the boot parameters and rebooted. The machine rebooted O.K. but now whenever I run VistaBoot PRO I get the "XPExplorerBar_nat.dll" error.

Any suggestions on what might be causing this error would be appreciated as although I have only been able to run VistaBoot PRO once, I can see that it is going to be an invaluable tool.
