Clearly, in today's world, there are a lot of issues which are up for debate. No doubt you're tempted to discuss those issues here. BUT... as managers, we have to point out the obvious.

PRO is a world-wide community with many diverse opinions, feelings, and strong emotions on some of the subjects you might want to discuss. So, since we're in the business of tech-talk and not in the art of starting online flame wars, we would appreciate you not posting on certain subjects. Don't get us wrong, we believe in free speech - BUT we also believe we should be allowed to set guidelines on this forum. Your help and patience is appreciated on this matter.

Below is a list of topics that should be avoided on our site. Our staff will, exclusively, decide which topics are and which are not appropriate. These decisions will be made apart from personal judgment, and in the best interest of the site. These topics will be removed immediately, without any comment or notification to the user. I hereby grant permission to ANY moderating staff member to move a post they feel violates the following recommendations.

DISALLOWED TOPICS

NO topics on the following POLITICAL issues:
a.) gay marriage
b.) abortion
c.) world leaders (of any nation)
d.) national policies (no nation bashing)
e.) partisan topics

SUBJECTS TO TYPICALLY AVOID
a.) religion
b.) drugs and/or use of such substances
c.) weapons, especially gun or gun control

If you have another topic you feel is appropriate, please let us know.

Thanks
PROnetworks Management

This list is scheduled to be updated in light of recent happenings since 2004. We've gotten rather slack in this forum lately, and it seems it's best to start cracking down again.

Lately a flood of new topics and issues has crossed our boards, and PROnetworks does not want now or ever to be a debates forum. We are a technology forum and we want to maintain our family friendly atmosphere.

Older Posts & New Posts will be removed from this area that are deemed inappropriate, pending the release of the new guidelines.

Thanks

Notable Changes

-Many issues are now allowed again for discussion. However, if it becomes an issue (users flaming each other) we will ban certain topics again.

-Staff are NOT permitted at any time to debate ANY issue. Staff may ONLY moderate the forums.

The rules have been updated so that anyone, including staff may post new topics and comments. This is in line with what has become practice in this area.
