i know that those are form LOST but i dont ever rember seeing the 108

4 8 15 16 23 42 108 <----- ???

108 is the number the computer counts to... they have 108 minutes to input the numbers and hit the button before the magnet goes off.

108 also is what you get when 4+8+15+16+23+42.

I have "Upgraded" from O 2003 to O 2007 without a hitch.
I did get the beta software direct from Microsoft (Regular Mail).
A few notes worth being aware of....
1. This is BETA software and anything can happen or "unhappen".
2. I did notice that the new O 2007 cannot read O 2003 files that were on my computer before I installed the O 2007.

I did back-up my files and after copying them from the disc to the location of my Office files, they worked fine.
This was only an issue with Word , Acess, and Excel.

Further investigation revealed that the O 2007 saved in a different format in the few new files I created to test it.
For example:
In Word 2003 you would save as .doc
In Word 2007 it saves as .docx
Still investigating but it seems to be a pattern for other applications too...

There were no traces (Except for some registry strings) of O 2003 that would launch when a application was opened.
I went to a old site and downloaded a .doc file and O 2007 opened it up fine...
Just a few thoughts that might help someone somewhere....

So Remember: BACK-UP BEFORE TRYING ANY BETAS!!!

Just so you know waxace...although clicking on a 2003 doc file will not open it in 2007, if you FIRST open Word 2007 and then open the 2003 doc file, it will open in 2007.

I have a long thread about it here:
http://www.pronetworks.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=76536

I installed 2007 on top of 2003, it kept both, and I can use either one.

So I can install both side by side? I'd like to test 2007 (Word, Excel, etc) but I don't want to mess up my current Outlook or Frontpage settings in 2K3.

Yeah, if you have 2k3 it will give you an Option to Upgrade or use an Advanced Settings. Chose Advanced and install Office 2007 to a different folder than Office 2003. Sure sometimes they fight with each other for which one opens which file, but nothing serious or harming.

Don't try to install outlook 2007 and 2003, it won't work. If you choose the custom install, select the option to keep all existing programs, and then choose not to install Outlook 2007 and just keep your current Outlook 2003 smilenod
