LOL, this is SO old and I never checked for replies!
Yeah, I meant if you are a regular Live CD user and it is in your power (or authority )t oisntall linux, why use a live cd?
I use Live at Uni (Slax) cuz they have RHEL and Windwos XP, but all are filled with viruses and bloatware and trojans, and are on a very insecure nework. I jsut boot from CD, and walla, its a miracle: all your problems gone away.

it's a good site, but a lot of the links they have there are slightly outdated for some of the major distros. I know that when i went through them i got quite a few page redirects or page not found messages due to the site being moved or page moving that they were linking too.

there are thousand resons to use livecd. knowing that more than half of the people using computer cannot install or uninstall anything. they only know where to find power button, outlook express and internet explorer.
livecd means also MOST secured computing. should i continue?
