Wow. We haven't even had a flake yet this year. It's been way above normal for the most part temp wise.

If it's cold enough we might see the first snow of the year there actually. Mauna Kea is 13K+ feet, so if it's cold enough (but I doubt it will be in June) there is usually snow up there. One of the only places you can snow board and surf in the same day, in December. The waves are the biggest then and it's cold enough up high to snow a few feet in places on the mountain.

wow, very interesting.

Reminds me of Lake Tahoe in Nevada.. Back when I was a kid in the California steam (Sacramento) just drive for three hours, have fun in the snow, then turn back... must be nice to have it on the same island!

Hey, did you ever see any LOST actors or recordings?

I've heard Cali is another great location to visit both in the same day. My uncle was there while in the Navy. I've been there too, but we usually stuck around one place bc we were on vacation.

I haven't seen LOST, but I also haven't been to Oahu (at least beyond the airport), and that's where they film it, out in Oahu's jungle. I'm not a huge fan of that island... I tend to like the less busy places. Even Maui is getting a little too busy-bodied for my liking.
