Hi,

Here's my solution which seems to work okay for me.

I tried working with Norton TS which was worse than a waste of time.

So, I use an older version of AV which still works with XP including live updates, etc. I put NSW 2003 on a mini CD for other purposes, but found that it runs perfectly well loading from the CD. Little of its mischievous code gets loaded that way, I think. However, Windows and Disk Doctor work fine loading from the CD.

Cheers!
