Yes, that is correct. Here in Northern Illinois, we haven't seen the sunshine in over two weeks!! We saw about an hour and a half of sunshine yesterday. That was the fist time we saw ANY sunshine since
a few days before CHristmas Eve. And guess what! It's cloudy today!

Sheeeeeeeeeesh that must be very depressing. At this time of year in Scotland, if it's not snowing, we get very clear blue skies along with cold and frost, with the sun bright in the sky because of the clearness and sharpness of the air. I would rather have it cold and clear, as the way you're having it at the moment.

I am not that keen on lots of sun myself, I must be weird but I like rain. Snow on the other hand is fun some times but most of the time it's a pain. I hate cold clear days, some of the coldest days I ever remember were cloudless days. Imagine bright bright sunshine and then you go out doors and find it -20°F outside, the sun doesn't mean to much when your frozen stiff. I would rather have a cloudy 45°F day than a sunny -20°f day any time, heck I'd rather have a cloudy 25°F day than that cold. I am not looking forward to the coming weeks in the winter here since that is usually when the hard cold comes, before it gets warmer.

Same here. How can dark clouds make one be depressed?? I'm glad things don't affect me like that, sheesh. So no, your not weird b_a88.

From what I've seen, Seattle has had 21+ straight days of rain now.
I like the rain personally, which is why I'd love Hilo I think. It's the wettest city in the US, but it's also only temporary rain (comes in 30 min spells, tropical style). I could live with that. It's the constant clouds and drizzle for days that drives me nuts. If it's going to rain, let it rain... otherwise let the sun come out.
