Shreader, I would imagine that the LA test site would be even better for you since it's only 30 miles or so if I'm placing Huntington Beach correctly.

Thanks Bell1, I tried your link (LA- CA Site) and got:

2003-03-23 10:47:11 EST: 713 / 121
Your download speed : 713458 bps, or 713 kbps.
A 87 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 121895 bps, or 121 kbps.

I dig it when i get higher #'s (closer to what i am paying for) as i would think everyone else does.

Hope you have a great Sunday.....shreader

from bandwidthplace got 1.1 m/sec
tried the tests last nite and again at noon today just to see the differance and they are about the same speed.
now this promps me to start a thread on port scaning so you can see if you have open ports you don't know about.

I tried the bandwidth place site and got a higher result than I usually do:

Your raw speed was 2179489.89 bits per second which is the same as:

Communications
2.2 megabits per second

Storage
266.1 kilobytes per second

1MB file download
3.8 seconds

I agree, gotta love broadband! smilenod
