The default setting for the Windows Recycle Bin is 10% of the disk space. This means if you have a 40 GB hard drive, up to 4 GB is set aside for the Recycle Bin before it will start automatically deleting files. You can easily reduce this from 10% to 5% and potentially save 2 GB in the process. To do this, simply right click on the Recycle Bin icon, move to properties. Adjust this slide bar to the desired percentage and click OK!
