| although it LOOKS very cool and slick, I think that sometimes if we try too hard to impress by looks it does not turn out to be very professional |
Thats true, and a valid point. The UI is practicly complete, so we will be working on new tweaks and bug fixes.
I am the developer for the most part. I did most of the coding, with jrfree's help. The Area 59 team did the gathering of things such as tweaks and how-tos.
VB .NET 05 Beta 2 was used, in the future it will be the final release

I didnt want to link to the 5219 guide, so I left it for now. But I will in future builds. Now to get the guide out there...
There are alot of new things in 5231 that we look over and see if changing them will help

Some great feedback here
One of the biggest challenges in developing this program was that it is a true Beta - made for a Beta OS and developed on a Beta development platform. With the final release of Visual Studio.NET 2005, and also the .NET framework 2.0, many issues, such as the memory usage can be more easily addressed in future builds.

When I have Vista, I will be glad to help test Vista Tweak Pro.

We are hoping you might have some more suggestions for VTPRO. We are getting close to finishing it for 5270 and we would like to see a few more tweaks in it.

Well, I was recently testing out some app's on vista and unfortunately I have to tell the truth about this program. And this is the programming side of me talking.
Although it is a great tool for hard to find options in Vista I have to say that there is not much to it. It is nothing more than certain tweaks that might be hard to do if you are not familiar with Vista. Now, I don't have DWM support so I don't know what that looks like. But the Misc. Tweaks could be a lot better.
From my perspective as a programmer, it needs to be fully updateable on runtime. So when I change the size of the icon, I don't need to restart explorer. This may shy folks away. Now, with that said, I have noticed that some people were asking about XP as well. Here is my suggestion.
Make the program like TweakUI. Then add features that are only available in Vista. This way it can be used on XP (For tweaking purposes and advertisement) as well as Vista. Some things that are definitely a must for this program is possible just keeping the visual styles alone. Red Backgrounds for toolstrips with black text is very hard to read. I think that it does need to have something that stands out, but instead of just tweaking colors take a look into Iris Skins. Very nice customizeable skins.
Now, for someone who is not familiar with Vista or any other OS I would say 10. But it is hard for me to even give it a rating right now because I don't know what to think. Sorry.
Also, corey since you are using VB.Net 05 I would look into using API commands if you are not doing so already. VB.Net Framework, although nice, holds back what you can really do.

I have wanted that since we started development of VTPRO, but I have never figured out how to do it on runtime like that. I am not a professional developer, and I dont know how to make significant code like that.

I dont want to skin the whole window, but the point of it was to make it look like Vista so it wouldnt confuse the user. Besides, I like the look But you are right about that, and in the current internal builds we dont have it changing for differant pages anymore, it is a differant blueish color. And for the colors, I have made sure it is user-friendly.

I will and if you need any help don't hesitate to ask. I don't mind helping.
Also, if you do want to know more about API commands and things like that just give me a shout and I would be more than happy to help you out.
