After watching President Bush, P.M. Tony Blair & Jose Aznar o/ Spain give their speeches & news conference afterwards it really appears to this member that time is getting very close now to when the bombs begin dropping.

Hopefully the (U.S.) economy doesn't suffer and many (of our) friendly soldiers don't die.

Good luck, I'm praying this is the right move, i am like trembling now.

I watched the whole speech and question and answer session afterwards, and there's no doubt in my mind that we go mid-week. May the French and Germans live to regret their obstructions. smilenod

You know of all the countries to stick together...

The French, the Germans, and the Russians. Does anyone else see that as the Odd Couple III? Or is that just me.

I was reading an interesting article yestersay. It basically said that France's influence has really declined over the years and this is a power play by them to regain influence. Right now they're holding the UN hostage and feel like they're in control. It also mentioned that the Russian president has been very quiet for awhile now and hasn't been publicly speaking out against invading Iraq. Many think that he will come out on the US side in the end.
France also probably doesn't want us to go in and find all those French instruction manuals lying all over their nuclear reactors.

Well, it scares the hell out of me. I just feel like I really need to treasure what I have now, that things will never be the same again. I'm saying a prayer too...

Germany said Sunday it had asked all Germans to leave Iraq “immediately” and would close its embassy in Baghdad after German citizens left the country. Germany, which has vocally opposed a war against Iraq without further time for inspections, currently serves on the U.N. Security Council, though it is not a permanent member.
Iraq also said that five of eight helicopters used by United Nations weapons inspectors left the country Sunday after a Western insurance company suspended coverage for the aircraft. U.N. officials were not available to confirm the report.

I agree with you above Bob. You couldn't have said it better. I think that was perfectly said...
