This is not so much a question as it is an encouragement to travel to Europe.

I can honestly say i have had some of the best times in my life, while in europe. So many in fact that i think everyone should go, and i now am already planning to move there after i am done university. I have loved my time there that much, and well i also have family there to that helps thumbsup . Europe is full of things and places that should not be missed. I have to say after visiting the D-day invasion beaches last april, do not miss them, they are a very moving place, especially if you are from a country who made the landings. Knowing you are standing where your nations soldiers fought and died is a very moving experience, one of the most moving in my life actually. Especially after meeting several veterans in london before going to France.

Europe is not just all history and monuments, it can be alot of fun too like Soho in London, and so much of the city of Paris. Like going solo to a pub in London and ending up eating lunch with some traveling spanish university students (those two were so cool)...it is the little memories that you get that will never leave. Memories like my first pint in a real english pub with all my friends, or my tour of amsterdam with my relatives.

I have ranted and raved so much here, but seriously get out there, and visit europe. I know that anyone can have fun there, since there is so much to do, see, hear, and taste, you cannot avoid finding thigns you love.

Ok, so now that you have heard me rant, i was hoping to make this a thread of places people recomend visiting in europe, kinda a top 3 places thing, so my top 3 are:

1.The UK, especially england and Ireland (no offense to scotland i just have not been there yet.

2.Holland, you just have to love it, what an awsome country, its just so cool.

3.France, well it is definately french, but it can be great fun and you can learn alot and enjoy yourself there.

Now get out there and go enjoy and experience europe...have fun and enjoy it.

Hello! My husband and I would love to travel to Switzerland- to see the Alps and the numerous watch factories and museums... but we don't know where to start planning. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks.

You know, it's like the proverb "the grass isn't greener on the other side". we love things that are not ours. Personally, I love travelling in the USA. I go every years in Florida, in Clearwater. That's a cool place! Sometimes I go to New York, like in August, I will go! (so happy smile ) But I didn't go a lot in Usa, like : california , you know, hollywood, LA, las vegas…
But Fidget11 is kinda right. There's some place in Europe wich are more than cool! I loved the England, Italy, Poland too is quite fun! (especially for the new year). Now my dream is to go to Japan! I love this country!!! And that's over now! I'm going in March! wootlaugh (that's quite cool!)
