Emily is a strong category 3 and is expected to intensify back to a Category 4 right before landfall. A new wave has also again begun forming in the Caribbean...

Just a quick tip!! As you can see from the size above...it won't fit right on ANYONE'S desktop...but wait! I'm at 1024x768 and it looks great on mine. The answer is to select "Stretch"! That's right...stretch! It allows resizes both up and down in size...and puts the moon in the upper right center of the screen...where without "Stretch"(left on "Center"...which should make sense lol ) there is no moon at all!!

I truely do love XP!! thumbsup

UPDATE
--------------------------------
South Texas gets ready as Emily's outer bands hit
By Patrick O'Driscoll, USA TODAY
7/19/2005 11:53 PM

Squalls lashed the South Texas coast Tuesday as outer bands of Hurricane Emily and its 125-mph winds bore down on the border. Its center should make landfall in northeast Mexico sometime today.

Low-lying communities between Brownsville and South Padre Island braced for flooding from 4-8 inches of rain as the storm moves inland. The National Hurricane Center warned of potential tornadoes around Emily, the year's fifth tropical storm on the Gulf Coast.

Matamoros, Mexico, across the Rio Grande from Brownsville, began evacuating areas most at risk of high water. Border officials on the bridges between the United States and Mexico laid sandbags against potential river flooding.

Emily had weakened Monday to minimal hurricane status from a dangerous Category 4 storm after slamming the Yucatan Peninsula with 135 mph winds. But it revived again Tuesday to major Category 3 stage, with 125-mph winds.

Yep it was... strong sucker as you said though.

That's gotta be one of the first times I've seen a storm hit land (not an island) as a Cat4 and then hit again (mainland) as a Cat3.
