Can anyone tell me what is a good program to make good graphics or take an image and add to it or modify it, and is very basic to understand? I tried photo shop but that is too complicated for me. I make alot of stuff sort of like the 2 up above but I did that using microsoft paint.

I've always sworn by Paint Shop Pro. I find it as full featured as Photoshop, but a little easier to use. Check it out HERE

corel 11 for me, but most people only use 20% of what it can do, try image expert for photos or Adobe ImageReady.

At work and at home I use a combination of Jasc Paint Shop Pro / Jasc Animation Shop. My favorite (easy to use) program is Adobe Photo Deluxe 1.0 Business Edition. It's a great program and easy to use. It's not perfect, bc it was never developed past 1.0, but it's like mini-me Photoshop.

Photoshop 7.0 does to much even for me to figure out. I do graphics on a daily basis, so when I personally feel when I have THAT much trouble figuring an application out.. somethings wrong, lol. I'm not trying to be big headed, but I have a pretty well rounded grip on computers and applications. Photoshop I will be learning over the next few months. It's not for newbies though... so I'd recommend Paint Shop PRO like Bob, or Adobe Photo Deluxe 1.0 Business Edition (don't get the home version!!!).

Good Luck.

newcster, I edited your post to remove the flash image from it. It wasn't working and made your actual question appear halfway down the page.... Very distracting.

Photoshop isn't that hard to use. (Those who say that should really try other Adobe software like Acrobat (not reader!) or Premiere)
But there is a simplified version though that goes by the name Photoshop Elements. I think the name pretty much sums it up. It has the basic elements of Photoshop, but lacks the more advanced functionality.

Photoshop is the only way to go for a *real* pro graphics editor.
