I recently obtained the LH Build 4051, I haven't tried to install yet, I think from WinBeta.com or something…and I have a few questions.
What is the difference from a LH Build 4051 bootable and an installation disk?
How many disks are needed for installation? Also what is the size of the ISO to make the disk to install LH?
Thanks.

The iso should be about 660 mb, and if you do have the bootable iso just use nero to run it and burn the cd, and it will be bootable.

Hi Pier & welcome to PROneT,
I ran a program called 'winrar' to convert it to .iso files. Next i ran another program called 'ISO Buster' to convert it to user files.
Next i browsed the files to find the setup.exe file which i double clicked on & started the install process.
My first attempts at installing build 4051 on my PC failed so i ended up having to burn the user files to a CD & installing it thru Safe Mode w/ command prompt (a bit of a pain) but it did install & ran fine. Since then i have reinstalled it 2X because of my testing, the last time when i stuck the CD in the drive in XP it started the setup automatically
I hope this helps you....shredaer

My copy wasn't bootable. I did install it through the XP that I already had setup and it's working fine! I was real surprised that so many people have had trouble with it...I've just installed and it works! Of course I use another computer as my "main" system...don't trust it to run right enough to be the main...it's still an Alfa load...not even a Beta!!
I did installit to another hard drive so that might be the reason that I've so little problems...but I've got a dumpy little system to run it on and it works pretty well!
My System....
Celeron 733(slot 1 configuration)
640meg of RAM(actually it has 768 in it...but the system only sees it as 640!!)
60gig HD split in two...Longhorn on one partition
13gig HD...this has XP on it.
So...it doesn't take a world class system to run it...just don't expect everything to run...because it won't!! Things like System Restore doesn't work. DisKeeper installs fine...but never starts a defrag!
Don't expect much...and you'll be pleased!!
Paul
