Hi!
I am testing Longhorn 4051 on an Acer Aspire 1300 DXV Notebook now. But I have problems:
Some Drivers (including VGA, keyboard and Touchpad) are not working, the whole installation doesn't start. Is there a chance to get them running? A Installer reported "You are not running Windows NT", but I coverted Longhorn with TweakNT to Win XP Home Edition, like shown in dxdiag.
The drivers i treid to Install are from the acer website.
Then my question i am asking now cause i've got only 20 GB and want to have Linux and Windows (not more than 5 GB, without files) running:
Is Longhorn build 4051 good enough to work with or should i choose Win XP Professional?
I think i use Win XP, cause the drivers (^^) aren't working. What do you think?
thx for ur answers

Hi Geeko
It's not neccessary to have this thread running as a poll. Some of the members will no doubt come in with some answers for you.

geeko, first of all Longhorn is a pre-alpha non supported operating system, and it will no doubt have many iterations and changes before it goes gold.
If your intent is to have a stable OS to run then Windows XP Professional is the smarter choice.
If you want to play with longhorn and understand that you will have problems that will not be supported by any hardware vendor and Microsoft then go for it.
