Try copying the driver for your networks card from another operationg system that it works in to the longhorn system32 partition. I have no idea if this will work. So first install your networks card in another operating system, in yuor case xp. Then go to the network card's properties in device manager. Go to driver than driver details. In it you will see all the drivers that are needed. Copy down the list of drivers and use search to find all of them. Copy drivers in to your longhorn system32 partition and try to reinstall your driver in longhorn. Again I do NOT know if this is going to work.

if you do not have the mainboard {cd-rom} drivers,visit the mainboard manufacture's site to download {newest} device drivers. that might be the only hope for onboard network card
