I have installed one user on build 4051, and when it boots, it shows the message on the screen 'waiting for GP Client' for about 3 minutes, then goes to the logon screen. Is anyone else having this?

Hi sidneysides & welcome to PROneT,

You need to include your system specs w/ this as that will make a difference in out analysis.

Thanks.... shreader

Well sidneysides it doesn't look like a hardware problem.

I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem.

You might try using the PROneT 4051 Tweaking Guide on it and record any diffrences. Shutting off some of the services, Sidebar & others will speed things up.

Let us know how much this helps.

I found this info at M$ help/ search. It has info on Group Policy logs to possibly find the problem. You can take a look at:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/support/trblshoot/tshootgp.asp

and see if it might apply for your problem.

Let us know how it goes & what helped, thanks....shreader

Have you tried removing your Pinnacle PCTV Card. I ahve the USB PCTV Delux and until I installed the drivers and software it made my Longhorn Installation run alittle slow not sure why, but after I installed it and set it up it started working fine.
